Shiny Production was conceived in 2011 when its co-director Patricia Dixon relocated to Devon. The company was set up in order to facilitate develop and grow creative projects which support participation within the cultural sector. In this capacity, the company has been involved in delivering community-engagement projects that delve into heritage and place-making, resulting in the creation of vibrant cultural festivals, events, and strategic cultural plans.

Returning to her roots in creative practice, Patricia has embraced the realms of interior design, textiles, and stained glass. This balanced blend of professional leadership and personal creative endeavors underscores her dedication to both the cultural enrichment of communities and the nurturing of her own artistic passions. Patricia’s commitment to the arts and her ability to bridge diverse aspects of the sector make her a valuable asset to any creative initiative.

Patricia’s multifaceted contributions extend beyond Devon, as she continues to support various Midlands @ South West-based arts organisations as chair and trustee.

Craft meets football in ‘Souvenirs from Homeí. The exhibition is the culmination of Home Ground, a three-year project which celebrates the cultural heritage of football clubs with nicknames inspired by the local craft industries that have shaped their communities. Home Ground is a collaboration between the Devon Guild of Craftsmen and six English league football clubs across the country.
